Phase-out of HCFC-141b use in polyurethane foam has presented challenges for the polyurethane rigid foam industry. This has been especially so for the smaller businesses that cannot readily upgrade to equipment or conditions that may be required for implementing the use of some alternatives to HCFC-141b.

MEC has been working to provide practical solutions for our customers.

EC PUR® and EC SPRAY® Foam Systems were developed to provide rigid polyurethane foam without requiring the conventional fluorocarbons, hydrocarbons or other volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) typically used as blowing agents.
